I was getting ready to download some pictures and took this picture of the indention the panels temporarily leave on my arm while painting.
I sometimes get asked where I paint. My answer is I don’t use an easel; I don’t know anyone who has an easel, and that I seldom paint standing up at the wall. When I do it is to steady myself while making an adjustment because there is no place to rest my hand while sitting. I mostly paint sitting at a table with the painting in my hands. The panels don’t always leave marks. I just happened to be cradling the panel today.
In the midst of finishing up a batch of paintings, I have been figuring out more still life compositions. This one falls under the category: common ingredients. I am planning to use the garlic and onion, though I gave the ginger away to someone, who apparently eats a lot of it. I am one step away from taking pictures of eggs (next post?).

Garlic, onion and ginger.
really Wonder Valley.

I finally shot the lemon. Unfortunately, I waited too long. It was slightly desiccated. The pulp was dry and chunky, and thus a little dull. I need to get some fresh lemons, and reshoot.

Recent picture of a bunch of leaves. There will be lemons.

I finally got around to taking pictures for the still life. I added a few pixels left and right, thus the lazy photoshopping on the right to get rid of the candle light.

I decided, sooner than later, to make some additional beer bottle paintings. Realizing more bottles means more options, so I went out and bought more beer.

This is not composed, but where I placed them when I got them home.

… from whenever to whenever and haven’t had much to blog about—not that that is a requirement to blog. Here is one of my efforts I just finished, so I thought I’d share the image. The painting is 9 by 16 inches oil on panel. It is currently untitled, but I plan to have a title for when it is exhibited.
…pictures forthcoming.

Here is a reference image of a flower until then.

Tonight is still life night. As soon as I finish this post, I am going to start cutting lemons into pleasing parts. Instead of a new post I added the images below.
