I just started this painting of Susanne Vielmetter’s initial gallery location on Wilshire Blvd.—where the gallery resided from 2000 to 2004.

Somewhat random (despite painting cinderblocks)—I took this picture just because I liked how they were sitting there.
I haven’t setup the “dolly” (skateboard wheels and a piece of pine) for the shots I want to take, but I made this test.

Along the line of model making, I sketched some pictures of cityscapes as simple solids (example below). It occurred to me that when I build panels, I produce about 6 to 10 inches of scrap per 8 linear feet of stock—which i keep (mostly)—so I cut these remnants into little blocks. For a video, I’ve been wanting to do some small scale tracking shots, this might be a good test.

this video is about 27 seconds in duration including titles.

Congratulations to all. Coagula is/has released its one hundredth issue. On a related story, I won one of the t-shirts that was made for this mile stone.
You can see the issue online here.
Candles are annoyingly unpredictable. This video is about 30 seconds long including the titles.

I finally got around to shooting the model I made. I haven’t cleaned it up the image yet, but overall it worked out as I anticipated.
