
On wednesday, during inclement weather causing the 5 to be closed through the Grapevine, this rainbow went over the detour road near Buttonwillow.
I particularly like how the spinning ball illuminates the lamp housings. It is these sorts of things that increasingly drew my interest to video—letting time and motion expand what a painting portray.

I wonder what the thought process was to have this sign instead of a specific sign that might “signal” the sort of fare one might be in for prior to entering. The space is available, and I think that this might have been the basic failure of whatever type restaurant it was.

Although the press conference to name the new director of MOCA was postponed due to the LA mayors schedule confict, Jeffrey Deitch has—according to the LA TImes blog—been named the fourth director of MOCA.

I got a new lens. it is pretty basic, but should improve the documenting of my work as this should decrease any image warping.

Somedays I don’t like my news reader. While it happily brought me Marshall Astor’s Korean dumplings via C-monster, it also brought me this obituary for Larry Sultan. I finished my undergrad degree at CCA[C] and would frequent the Stephen Wirtz Gallery in San Francisco. Typically there would be a new photograph of Larry’s in the back, along with samples of other gallery artists, to look at and enjoy. The picture above is from his series Pictures From Home.
