Sad, sad, sad
If one needs a reason the never go to MOCA again, it was announced that the Richard Hamilton retrospective that Paul Schimmel co-organised will not be coming to MOCA, where he was recently forced to part ways. I hope it can still come to LA, but it seems doubtful because of its scale. While MOCA—in its effort to not consider art—also cancelled the Jack Goldstein exhibition, OCMA was able to take it over. I am guessing Deitch was not friends with Hamilton (Hopper) nor that Broad held him in his collection (click here).
Truly embarrassing.
